Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg in one day (Aachen in Germany to Bastogne in Belgium via the Netherlands and Luxembourg). Mixed terrain: rough and hilly forest trails, almost flat unpaved track, and hilly paved roads. Next day: cycling back to Gouvy from Bastogne, then train to Liège and then cycling the last bit back to Aachen.
Reaching France from Aachen in one day would definitely have been possible...if the wind hadn't been quite as strong.
