Starting from the Belvedere B&B this is a challenging ride that starts with a 7km climb with a height difference of 800m. Luckily the climb is on tarmac. At the top of the climb you can take a closer look at the fort of Fenestrelle. the road becomes unpaved and contours round a large panoramic amphitheatre giving views to the Chisone Valley. and the walled village of Pequerelle. You will then arrive at Fort Serre Maria constructed in the late 1800s. From here the road descends towards Pian dell'Alpe where you can stop for refreshments at the Agriturismo and admire the colourful display of flowers on the meadow. The long descent on tarmaced roads takes you to Balboutet and Usseaux, villages that can trace their heritage to the pre Roman era. (a ride through the village of Usseaux is highly reccommended.) Continuing the descent you arrive at the main road where you continue in a downward direction until you arrive at Fenestrelle fr refreshements at Rosa Rossa before taking the wooded singletrack back to Chambons.
